Croatia Rocks!

Author:  Luke (7)

Yesterday we walked the walls of Dubrovnik.  It was really fun.

Here I am on the walls of Dubrovnik!

After that we went out to lunch at Mexican restaurant.  I had taquitos and they were good.

In the afternoon we came back to our house.

A couple days ago our car, Pepe, broke down.  We got a new car and it's name is Orlando.

Last night we went out to dinner with Lili and her husband Niko.  (Dad's Note:  Lili is a cousin on the Bronzan side).  We went to a restaurant called Domestico.  They had really good cheeseburgers.  For dessert I got this pancake with Nutella on it.  It was really good.

My Nutella dessert pancake!

I am having a really good time, but I miss home.  I miss my friends too, but I get to FaceTime them sometimes.

I want to rent a kayak with my Dad.  We might do that soon.  Or a jet ski.  It looks like fun.

A couple days ago there was a big Croatia soccer game and they had a big party.  It came down to penalty kicks and Croatia won because of Rakitić!  There were a lot of kids at the party.  Some of us took off our shirts and ran around.  We also had a big soccer match before the game.  After the soccer match they played more games and three balls got deflated!  It was fun to play with kids my age.

Some people were throwing cheese puffs at us while we were playing the soccer game.  It was funny.  I don't know why they were doing it.

  1. Did you chose the names for your cars? I bet you do miss your friends and I am happy to hear that you can FaceTime them now and then. Throwing cheese puffs??? Weird. I'll be watching the soccer game tomorrow, Wednesday.

  2. Hey, Luke! I got behind on the blog posts and just now read this one. I loved hearing about your nutella pancake, because in Norway they are always serving waffles for snacks--sometimes with cheese, and sometimes with a sweet filling. I had a lot of Nutella there! This is one of the things I miss now that we are back in Seattle. It seems like Europeans love their pancakes & waffles & Nutella, right? Are you finding anything good to eat in Portugal? I hear they eat a lot of fish there ....
