Hrvatska!!!!

Croatia has been my favorite country so far on this trip and I am really disappointed  we will have to leave in a few days but for now we can explore more of it. 

So far one of the highlights in Croatia was when we got to go on a kayak. It was really fun and I would like to do it again. I also enjoyed other stuff like exploring new areas and trying new foods (although every restaurant in Croatia is exactly the same.) 

I love this country and my parents love it too, we keep joking around we will come back here in 4 years so we can watch the next world cup here. It was very funny, the people who rented the house in Cilipi after us was from France and Croatia played France in the finals yesterday. They seem really nice and they have a girl my age (but I tried talking to her and she only speaks french.) 

The place we rented in Cavtat has an awesome view and I like it because now I don't have to sleep on a couch. It is nice though and the person we are renting it from lives right across from us and has 2 very cute dogs.

Today I hope we can go on this obstacle course in the water. I saw it the other day and it looked so cool. I also hope today we can go in the water again because it gets hot here. We have been going to the same beach and I like it because I can just float around and not worry about running into a rock or something. 

Lately I have trying to write a play based on the series "The Heroes Of Olympus". I am doing pretty good on most things except I do not have enough people, so if anybody wants to help or something you can always email me at livibronzan@gmail.com. Sorry if thats pretty random.

Anyway back to Croatia, I can't believe a country so small can be in the world cup finals! I am so happy to be in Europe while this is happening. Like my dad told me this could be a once in a lifetime thing so I was very disappointed they lost but it was a great run they did.

    Hi Livi, I enjoyed reading your blog. I had to chuckle when you mentioned that every restaurant is the same. I do remember that. I remember eating hard rolls for breakfast and then I sort of wanted them when I got home. I remember the salads which were always the same. I saw a photo of the obstacle course on the water. That looks like a lot of fun. Cute photo of Luke with the dog. You have met a lot of animals: dogs/cats on this trip. I will miss you being in Croatia, but I know the next place you go will be interesting too. It is a mystery of where you are going. Are you voting on it? I'm so glad you were able to experience the World Cup in Croatia. What a fabulous opportunity. Love to you and all.. Aunt Marsha

It's hard to believe, but we're just two days away from our flight.  I had planned to pop in and update everyone on our progress.  Yeah, that didn't really happen. Livi has assured me that once the trip starts, she is going to take the torch as the main voice of Bronzans on the Loose.  I assume that will mainly be on Instagram, but hopefully I can get her to pop in here from time to time. Things are going well.  Our pre-trip prep has gone well and there are only a handful of tasks left to complete.  We've had a lot of questions so I thought I'd answer some of them here.   A few weeks ago, an American who has lived in Granada for several years arranged for a gathering at a local coffee shop for new and “old” expats to come together and meet one another.  They do this every year to welcome new families to the city.   One woman, who has been living here for eight years, told me that families come in like waves on the beach.  Every fall a wave of new expats comes crashing in.  A year later it pulls back and while a few stay, most return to the lives they left behind. At this coffee meeting, I met a man who likes to mountain bike in Granada.  He gave me some tips about the local trails.   I explained that I had run to the end of the Camino del Sacromonte, where the pavement stops and the road becomes gravel.   I have been intrigued by this path and asked him if he had ever gone further than I had.  I’d thought about venturing on alone, but I wasn’t sure if it was a public or private road. A Friday morning update from London Town

Author:  Brandon (Dad) The plan was to slow down a bit after a busy few days in London, but that really hasn't happened.  Since our Liverpool trip, we have: Traveled by train to Windsor & Eton, touring beautiful Windsor Castle and sampling a variety of pubs. Toured the Tower of London. Visited Lindsey's school in Belsize Park.  (Extremely impressive.  I think Livi wants to go there.) Experienced Chinatown (Luke's request.  Kid loves Chinatowns.) Ridden a double decker bus.  (The kids were way more excited about this than I thought possible.) Luke included a bunch of photos in his recent blog post, but here's a blind man thrilling the crowd on an organ in Chinatown.   One more full day in London and we're not 100% decided on what we'll do.  Think we'll head out to Richmond and see what that's all about.  Though I look forward to the next leg of our journey, I'll miss London.  The two times I've been here ha...
