The day I got attacked by a sea urchin
Author: Olivia (10)
So it was a very warm day (the first one we have had in days) and we decided to go to Luka. Luka is a place right by the sea were you can swim in the water. It is very deep so luckily you do not need to worry about hitting the rocks at the bottom.
We swam for a while and then we left. After that we went to Cavtat. We were very hot so we set up next to the water. The water was very shallow. I got in and the funny thing was that I knew I would probably step on something, but mom said it was ok so I just went in.
I avoided touching the water for a long time and then Luke wanted my help getting in so I went over. I accidentally touched the ground and my foot started to sting. I quickly got up and my toes were covered in little black spikes. Me and mom got most of them out but there were still some in. The next 2 days I have been putting my foot in water and vinegar.
Well that’s it so…
LIVI OUT!
LIVI OUT!
Oh Livi! I'm so sorry for your unexpected, painful experience with a sea urchin. Do you have a picture of the little spikes?
ReplyDeleteOh man... sea urchin stings aren't fun. But they are temporary.
ReplyDeleteWearing teva's into the ocean, while a little awkward at first, saved my feet and became little flippers when I swam! Hope your stings heal up soon. (Will pouring rakija on them help? lol)
Are you using swim goggles to see the rocks and tiny fish? Looking forward to your next post.
Dovi genja!
I think the lesson we have learned here is never never trust your mom, if she says it’s ok to get in the water you’d better head for the hills.)
