Big Changes!

By Tiffany Bronzan (Mom)

This is a picture of the Town Green tonight around 7 pm.  This is one of the many reasons why I love Windsor.  They host many great events for families and it's just pretty to be on the Town Green.  I'm very fortunate to be able to call Windsor my home and work for so many years.

Tomorrow night marks my last night of work for 9 or so weeks.  Before that happens the big Summer Reading Kick-Off event that I've been planning for months needs to happen!  I hope that instead of an empty green, it will be filled with lots and lots of families.  I've wanted to do a Big Summer Reading Kick-Off event ever since Anne Marie told me about the time she planned one for Cloverdale and a Hot Air Balloon landed at the park.  (I should have tried to get that to happen!!!!)  Now, hopefully, everything will go according to plan and lots of families will enjoy the event and have positive thoughts about the Windsor Library.

When Brandon first told me about the idea of selling everything and spending the summer of Europe I was ecstatic.  What an awesome idea, a dream we have always had.  I'm still excited, but I feel like I need to get so many things wrapped up before we go.  I'm not sure when it will hit me that we are actually leaving, but I'm pretty sure it will be on the plane.  Right now all I have on my mind is to get the house packed up, get loose ends tied up at work, get the kids ready to go and figure out the rest later.

I worry about silly things about the trip, things that seem big to me, but in the long run probably won't matter.  (How will I read to the kids every night in Europe when we won't have the library for books!)  Will the kids fight and argue the entire trip because they will be tired or hungry or not comfortable for any number of reasons?  Will I keep my running up or come home a few pounds heavier and completely out of shape.  I know... really silly things.  I also worry about the big things, but I won't bore you with that.

This is the trip of a lifetime for me and Brandon and hopefully the start of a life-long passion for the kids to explore the world and try different things.  I'm very excited and hope the very best for our trip.

Now back to packing!
