Windsor Castle

Brandon loves London and I enjoy it too, but the busyness of the city gets to me after a few days.  Everyone is rushing and rushing everywhere we go.  There is so much to see and so much history that's hard not to get overwhelmed.  Everyday we have a big agenda of things we want to see and do, so we decided that yesterday we needed to slow it down a little bit.  We took a hour train ride to Windsor to see the Windsor Castle.  Windsor was a much slower pace and I liked that.

The Windsor Castle was incredible.  I enjoyed inside the castle, but the most incredible part was St. George's Chapel.  The stain glass windows, the ceiling and the choir were awe inspiring.  My favorite piece was the Memorial by Matthew Wyatt for Princess Charlotte who died in childbirth.  The workmanship is unbelievable.

My next favorite part was the dollhouse.  There was so much detail in this "dollhouse", that you can spend an hour looking at it all.  However, the room was very crowded and we were moved along pretty quickly, so you couldn't stay to admire it for very long.

We spent the rest of the time walking around Windsor and going to a few pubs.  It was a quaint little town, it was very nice.

Today we slept in and plan on going to the Tower of London.  Afterwards we are going to meet my friend Lindsey at her school and then head to Chinatown for dinner.  A pretty low key day, but still so much to do!
