Looks like this is happening...

By Brandon Bronzan (Dad)

By the time you're reading this, it's likely you already know the story.  In case you don't, here's the condensed version.

Our family is selling the house and heading to Europe.

Of course there are many reasons we are doing this, some of which I'll surely get into over the course of this writing project, but this seems to be the takeaway from our big family plan.

We thought we'd use this blog as a way to share our adventures through the eyes of each member of our family.  I know there are at least a couple of people who will want to read this (Hi Aunt Marsha), but hopefully a few more of our friends and family members find it interesting.

In addition to this blog, you'll likely see photos on various social media sites.  We'll probably set up a dedicated Instagram account, too.  This blog will give you a more detailed story.

I thought I'd use this first entry to set the stage and give you all a few details.

Our house is in escrow right now and we're frantically trying to cram everything we own (OK, everything we'd like to continue to own) into two 16' PODS.  The plane takes off on Friday and we are shooting to be done on Thursday.  If you looked at our house right now, you'd think that's a long shot.

We are going to be flying direct from Oakland to London Gatwick, leaving around 6:50p on the 8th and arriving at 1:00p on the 9th.

Accommodations have been set up through Airbnb and our flat, an old Victorian building, is located in the Belsize Park area of northern London.  We intentionally chose this section because it is very close to the home of one of our longtime friends, Lindsey (and her husband Ilkut), one of Tiffany's college roommates.

While my thoughts are shifting to London (easy to do...it's one of my favorite places in the world), there's a lot of work to be done here in Windsor (USA, not UK), so I should get off the computer and start packing.

We look forward to sharing this adventure from the unique perspectives that each of us bring.  Hopefully you'll enjoy it too.
